Administer Justice

“13” is the average age of entry into the commercial sex industry. Reclaim13’s goal is to “reclaim” a child’s right to grow up feeling safe, loved and free from harm. Evangelical Child and Family Agency (ECFA) is a Chicagoland based adoption agency that specializes in domestic adoptions. As Avenue’s newest Mission Partner, they also offer extensive programs, resources and counseling services that are available for foster families, single-parents, and vulnerable families and children. Safe Families for Children surrounds families in crisis with a caring, compassionate community. As an organization, they host vulnerable children and create extended family–like supports for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated to keep children safe and families intact. DuPage PADS and Community Kitchen

DuPage PADS and Community Kitchen (CK) of Downers Grove have partnered together to consistently serve meals to the homeless in our community. Community Kitchen brings together multiple churches in our community to provide dinner for people in need. Avenue is committed to a twice-monthly dinner service for 40 people. Volunteers are needed to serve and/or bring food. Kids as young as 9 can serve along with an adult. Shifts begin at 5 pm and end at 6:45pm.

West Suburban Community Pantry

West Suburban Community Pantry provides food and access to supportive resources for residents of Will and DuPage counties. Last year they served over 110,000 individuals. Volunteers are needed for 2- 3 hour shifts to help with: greeting and checking in customers, sorting food donations, stocking pantry shelves, packing and distributing online food orders and assisting during customer shopping. Adult Volunteer

People's Resource Center

The People’s Resource Center (PRC), located in Wheaton and Westmont, exists to respond to basic human needs, promote dignity and justice, and create a future of hope and opportunity for the residents of DuPage County. PRC currently is seeking compassionate volunteers 13 years and older for Food Stocking and Distribution. Volunteers are needed for three hour shifts in the morning, afternoon, and evening at the food pantry. No training is necessary, but you should be at least 13 years old and able to lift 20 pounds. Hinsdale Chinese Christian Church

Hinsdale Chinese Christian Church meets every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Student Center @ Avenue. International Disaster Emergency Services

International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) exists to meet physical and spiritual needs amidst natural crises. Based in Indiana, IDES goes all over the country and the world to provide disaster response, emergency care and hunger relief, all with the purpose of practically showing and verbally sharing the love of Jesus! Sudan Interior Mission

Life-long Avenue church member Laura A., serves with her husband in Niger, Africa through Sudan Interior Mission (SIM). Laura teaches English to Muslim college students, meets individually with people for faith exploration, co-leads a cooking class for local women and has other team-related responsibilities, all with the goal of reaching Muslims with the Gospel.
