Your Giving Matters...
Your giving matters to God, it matters to Avenue and it matters to the people who benefit from your gifts. When you donate to Avenue, the Kingdom of God and the life-giving message of Jesus is spread throughout the world, starting in the Chicagoland area. When you donate a portion of your income or assets, you receive a spiritual blessing of living out the truth that “It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). For many years Avenue has had a practice of tithing (giving 10%) of our income away. We give to our Local neighbors and community organizations in need, to Nationally-based Christ-centered organizations and to our Global missionaries around the world.
Ways To Give
Here are some easy ways to support our church.
Give Online
In-Person
In-Person at Avenue on Sunday mornings with cash or check.
App on your phone or device
App on your phone or device. Download the church app on Google Play or on the Apple App Store… search for Avenue Christian Church. After the app is downloaded, open it and click the ‘Giving’ tab. You may do this as a one-time gift or as a recurring gift.
Through your bank
Through your bank. Submit your gift electronically through your bank. Tell your bank that you want to set up an ACH transfer from your bank account to Avenue Christian Church. You may do this as a one-time gift or as a recurring gift. You can also set up “Bill Pay” with your bank and they will mail a recurring check to Avenue.

Stocks and mutual funds
Stocks and mutual funds. You receive a tax deduction for the market value of any stocks or mutual funds that you donate to Avenue. Additionally, you won’t have to pay capital gains tax on your donation. For details on how to make a donation of stocks or mutual funds, contact Nancy Sumida at (630) 323-3456 or via email.
End-of-life and estate gifts
- Life Insurance: You can name Avenue Christian Church as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy.
- Will and Estate: You can name Avenue Christian Church in your will as a beneficiary, which can be done either as a percentage or as a dollar amount. Your estate receives a tax deduction for the value of your gift.
